Port n Polish junkyard heads

this is the sohc so theres no pushrods. and I'm actually talking to the guys from Oregon Cams since my local shops wont even touch a v6 engine

You won't find any pushrods on an SOHC head. I would think you can make up 0.025" (assuming 0.050" reduction is based on base circle diameter not radius) by shimming or adjusting the rocker arm. Worst case you have the camshaft journals machined down. (which would keep stock valvetrain dimension). This would involve removing 0.025" material off of the head side of the journal, then bolting on your caps and reboring the hole for the camshaft bearings.

to be honest (and idk why) i hadnt thought of shimming the rocker arm. that was an overlook on my part. i reckon i was caught up in the whole valve length thing.
