These pics are of the '53 CJ3A my dad is "wanting" to restore, it has been sitting there for a long time......he also has a '56 CJ5 in his shop that he started on, he has all of the parts to put it together. He has the body off of the frame & has already had the engine to the machine shop, he just seems to never make time to put it back together even with my help.....

I'd love to do what I can, the problem is I have to use his shop to do anything to it and he always has it full of other peoples vehicles........Nothing would make me happier than to see him at least get the '56 put back together..............

Your old man sure has a big step ahead ! I have a V8 from a Cherokee & CJ5 frame from a Levi Edition model ('77/'78) that I first started back in uh....let's see, um..over 15 yrs ago ???

That thing cant be much more complicated than a riding lawnmower. At least the Jeep doesnt have a bunch of belts and pulleys running it.

I was raised in a Jeep, we used to ride the old fire roads & camp every weekend when I was a kid, I even learned to drive in a '76 CJ5............BUT THEN, in 1994, I acquired my B2!!!! I've now had 'er for 17 years & we will never part!!

I still have a passion for the CJ's though......

This was my '85 CJ7 but I sold it to my brother about 4 or 5 years ago. Dad & myself did a 4.0 conversion from a '98 Cherokee. I will probably end up buying the ole Jeep back when I can afford it.
