Has anyone else recently tried browsing on their phone and had a pop up immediately take them to some spam page when opening a thread? I don't even have to click anything, just click a thread and after about 5 seconds it redirects me.. I literally can't even use this site with my mobile anymore..

Yes all the damn time. Then it takes me to an application in the google play store

i just tried and didnt have any issues. what app does it try to redirect you to?

on a side note, i normally browse with tapatalk when im on my mobile.

Yeah I agree with Kunar. I use tapatalk and have not had any issues. I have had the redirect issue in normal browsing tho

I've noticed that the ads are killing my desktop computer, takes long to load pages anymore. Never tried it with my cell yet.

if it is an android ROOT the phone and install adfree app made by big tin can you will have to google it because it is not on the play store.. to use this app phone does have to be rooted... what it does is edit the HOSTS file on your phone...

When I have been visiting my virus sofware alarms go off and block, pretty sure its the banner ads or other animated ones. It does however classify them as a malicious attacks so there's that.

I had most of them killed off for a long while, but now they're back and I haven't spent the time and effort to try to kill them again.

on my network only about maybe 1% sneaks through on any web site because of my firewall (it is a dedicated machine).

Yeah, it really only happens on my phone (running chrome). I figured it was some kind of mobile based spam since a lot of the time it takes you to the play store for an app. It has gotten bad, and seems to be getting worse. It's sad, because this is the go to site for this stuff, and when my phone is faster/more powerful then my laptop (and far more mobile), theres no reason to use the laptop.. well except for being spam bombed.

On my desktop I use adblock and fanboy filters. my cell...eh.. the blue highlighted words that redirect are a PITA I use a free anti virus but it's worth what I paid for it
