That goes against everything that chemistry teaches us.. It is highly doubtful that one 87 octane would give better mileage than another 87 octane..
If true you'd have a wonderful case against one or the other stations.. perhaps even both!!

Yeah, but I'm sure that you along with everyone else has gotten crap gas before. I don't buy into the different mileage from different stations thing either though but I have noticed in the past when I had really picky vehicles that only liked 93 octane but would run fine without pinging on some station's 89 (Amoco used to have really decent gas for example). Anyway, this stuff is really off topic. To the OP, you should be fine to check out a few sensor with your Radio Shack voltmeter. You can either disconnect them and check resistance or back probe them with ignition in the "ON" position for a little more accurate readings.
