I saw this rendering online today. I've always been a huge fan of Pontiacs. My Jaguar is the only car I've ever owned for myself that wasn't a Pontiac. Had Pontiac actually made pickups (not GMC) I would probably have never owned a Ford.

:bad:

It's like they took the cool parts of the GTO, the ass ugly Firebird wheels, (IMO) the best looking GM trucks and made an abortion.

Here's my off brand truck of choice:

The Pontiac Pickup Station...

Just doesn't sound right.

I never knew Mercury had a truck.

You're a snowflake...

Pontiac??? Who’s that?

But Pontiac did make pickups:

The closest in recent memory - '09 Holden Ute, modified to left hand drive and Pontiac G8 front clip added. It's more/less a bolt on swap - someone in Colorado was importing Utes and converting them; price was just a little rich for my blood. Unfortunately, the recession of '08 killed both Pontiac and Holden.

Next Jim will be wanting a Trans Am station Wagon

I think the Pontiac G8 was just an imported Holden Monaro From Australia, where they also sold many, many "utes". Ford even had a Falcon ute that would be a fun drive here in the USA.

Close - the G8 was a Commodore. The Monaro's US equivalent was the GTO.

That's right the GTO was the Import from Down Under.
