Plan for this summer is to pull the motor.

Throw in new bearings, gaskets, oil pump, ARP head studs, main studs, and rod bolts, clean up the block and rehone it, put it all back together with a main girdle and the new Ruff Stuff mounts.

Im going to probably just run the BBK boost control and ignition control and keep EGR until I spend the coin on a SCT tuner and tune to delete EGR and get the last few ponies out.

The kit is almost complete minus a few bolts, the coil mount bracket, throttle cable bracket and the intake tube. I am sure I can finger something out

Not sure.lol. I read that with this charger, 422 cam, headers, and a 66mm TB and a good tune people are seeing 225-260hp dyno pulls. Im hoping for 210ish and still dependable on 5-6 psi boost.

Picked up a new bearing for the idler on the super since the ones that came with these kits where known to go out, and this one didn't roll top smooth anyway.

Also decided to change the oil in it while its off.

I made new gaskets and bolted the super to the upper half of the intake, torqued and loctited the bolts.

Changed the oil and fuel filters today, so I am set for Bundy.

Sorry if you answered this somewhere already, but was the SC on a 4.0 prior to you? Is it a kit that is/was available at some point or a bunch of custom stuff?

Its a instacharger kit from BBK, but I'll be running my own fuel setup and making all the brackets and tube that are missing.

The kit was discontinued in the late 90's.

Picked up an OEM EGR block off plate off of a 2.9 manifold laying at my buddy's shop.

And I got the new whip put together, tagged, insured, and assigned to road whore duty.
