Hey everyone,

Well I know not to by Bosch for a ranger but what plugs and wires are the best. I have heard Autolite and Motorcraft from numerous people. What plugs are the best though? It dosent have to be those brands either. Any opinons on Plugs?

What about wires? I hear alot of talk about plugs but what about wires. I have two bad wires on my truck. They are about due for a change but I didnt expect to have them arcing at this point.

What is a good brand for wires? Any opinions on which ones hold up better?

Any help is aprriciated.
Thanks eveyone.

For plugs you really cant beat the factory ones. Wires on the other hand, are a bit more debatable. Personally I am partial to Napa's Belden Max wires, but there really isn't a clear cut best for wires. If you buy a good quality set you shouldn't have any problems regardless of where you buy them.

Is irridum on platinum better?

Iridium is going to last longer. Since I change mine every 50k miles they will never be pushed to that limit so I just get the platinum plugs.

Only run motorcraft or autolite plugs. People have tried running other fancier plugs like E3 and have had problems.

I have a set of brand new Autloite Double Paltinums, and a set of brand new Motorcraft Platinums. Both are the finewire version. It is absolutely %100 clear they are made in the same factory. I can take pics if you'd like.

Just in case anyone is searching in the future, here's a pic of what I meant in my above post:

Great photos! Didn't you know the blue paint accelerates the electrons more than the black so you get a hotter spark?

:) :) :)
