Plug Explosion/Resistor enclosure?lol

So while replacing my fan resistor, I tried to pry open the female and male sockets..... They were rusted/latched/melted together. I tried as much as i could to get it apart, but its just stupid. I finally just sell hell with it and ripped it apart with a flat-tip. The damn thing had exploded internal.... I was like, holy hell whats with this? Just another random thing to find. the mounting screws for the resistor unit itself were melted sorta, and the mounting holes look like all hell broke loose on em'. Sooooo I'm thinking of making an enclosure for protection since I just stuck squeezed end connectors to connect the wires to the resistor unit. Any ideas? Its a tight area. Btw, this is the first time I've had all fan settings work in my truck, my god this is a damn luxury.

So I ended up using a cigar box... lol. It'll work for now but its not permanent. For some reason though, my fan settings were working fine this morning now and now they are bitching at me again. I'm going to try to reconnect the wires firmly as possible though. I'd like to make soldered connections, but I don't have an iron that I could use to reach. It sucks. The clamps for the wire connectors are pieces are pieces of sh*t anyways so I'm gonna try some reinsurance...
