Hi to all. In process of changing outer cv boot on driver side. I have the spindle and shaft all ready seperated. How do I remove the cv joint off of the driveshaft in order to put new boot on. Thanks in advance.

If you are trying to get the boot off the half shaft, you have to get the retainers off, I usually just mangle the ends with a flatblade screwdriver so that the won't hold anymore. Once the boot is off (assuming the whole shaft is out of the truck) have a buddy hold the middle good and tight, then give the end a good hard yank, should just pop right out.

If you are trying to get the half shaft out of the front diff, get a small prybar under the end and just pop 'er out.
