Hello I have a 2003 Ford Ranger Edge 3.0 V6 5sp Manual with 90800 miles.About a week ago i noticed that when i push the clutch in to change gears the rpms will climb to about 3000.When i go to the next gear it is fine. This happens up shifting and down shifting. It will also do it if i put the truck in neutral to coast. I do not have any idea where to start to look for this problem. I would deeply appreciate any input.
Thanks, Alex

thanks for the help guys it turned out to be the IAC (Idle Air Control) i just took it off and gave it a good cleaning yesterday and now everything seems to be ok.

Cool! Ya mine was doing it a while back, and I shot the IAC with MAF cleaner and then with WD-40 and let it sit over-night. It has been just fine since.
