Just a little color update.

Did mine a year or so ago, and held up very well through our last winter.
I didn't tape off my tires. Just sanded down the peeling clearcoat, then sprayed down with brakecleaner. I did tape off my valve stems.
After close to a can per wheel, and letting dry for a couple weeks, not needed that long, just didn't need to reinstall at that time, I just used a soft nylon bristle brush on the tires. The overspray came right off.
Almost every post I see, it's said to tape off wheels, like mentioned, I didn't, and here are the results.
