Has anyone plasti dipped there rims? or anything else, i want some ideas to possible do.

I want to hit my roof with white next summer. The black truck is cooking me come April.

I did mine. You just have to take them off, Clean them and shoot them one coat at a time. When you're done put a clear coat on, unless you want them flat.

Works great and it covered up my rusty cragars just fine.

I thought plasti-dip was goop you dipped tool handles and small parts in to give them a plastic coating? They make a spray version too?

Yes they make them in spray form now, its pretty cool stuff, you can change the color of stuff and somewhat easily take it off when you want to.

I use plasti dip to touch up the tines on the dishwasher racks.

Well I did all my badges on my truck in plasti dip, its great because you don't like it, you peel it off. Word of advice, DO IT INSIDE! Or you will spend quite sometime getting little black specs off of your whole truck.

That's a very nice truck Snoranger!

Thanks.
And now that I'm at a real computer...

those wheels look awesome that way! i almost bought some ion alloy wheels that were very similar style, just aluminum instead of steel. i ended up getting some dick cepek DC2's for a good price and eventually decided i didnt really care for that style on my truck. i plasti-dipped one side black and the other side white. havent decided which i like better. i figure if i decide to sell them, theyve been nicely protected from rock chips and corrosion. plus l;ike i said, i didnt care for the silver on black wheels on my truck anyways.

Thanks! I like the black on your truck. Then again, theres nothing wrong with white!

Mr. Hammel, how well does that hold up when you torque the lugnuts down? I'm just curious how durable it is.

Fine! No problem at all..I actually sprayed my lugnuts out of curousity (not the part that contacts the wheel) and they've held up fine. Even with an impact, they've held up fine.

Before i did my wheels, I sprayed the stuff on a piece of steel bar. You can hit it all day long with a hammer without hurting it!

All these trucks look badass

Is there any primer needed? Also where can you get plasti-dip? My 03 edge 4x4's wheels are starting loose their coating, and the aluminum is oxidizing in places so Im looking to give mine a fresh coat.
Thanks
