well as most know i was working towards moving to az, wellll i decided to stay here in washington and stay close to family and keep the great job i have. also keeping the expo, b2, and the bike so gonna be getting a place here soon and start working on the b2 and getting it lifted sas and v8 dropped in:) so there is the update

That's great to hear. I've started to really like my B2 more and more. Neighbor stopped by and tried offering me $350 for my B2 this morning, I told him he could buy the wheels and tires for that price but he wasn't getting the vehicle for that. Yeah my B2 looks like crap right now but its worth a lot more than $350. Kind of pissed him off, I told him I wasn't going to give it away considering the prices I see on Craigslist for vehicles that don't even run and need major body repairs and engine/transmission repairs.

yea i just cant see myself moving and not getting a good job down there and family is around here if i do get layed off or anything and bill mine is in near mint condition minus the motor trouble which i figured out after i sold the carb lol and took the grill off and my mom ran it over so i need a new one and need to finish painting it but wanna get sas and a 9in or something bigger then the 8.8 in the rear for the v8

yeah I think you made a good choice. A steady income and a job that you enjoy makes all the difference.

Having been broke and without a job myself about 6 years ago, I am glad that you found something and also it being something you enjoy.

Rock on and keep us updated on the B2 mod/build progress :)

Yeah, never fails, I've been in the same boat when I sold my 84 Ford Ranger 7 years ago because back then I didn't know you could do a duraspark conversion and get rid of the failed computer problem.

97 i will i am gonna start a build thread as soon as i start but wont be for atleast a couple months and yea bill i am just gonna go efi lol

Are you doing a newer 302 swap, or is there an efi conversion somewhere for them? Can't wait to see your progress. My B2 has been running great other than my rear main seal leaking and the dang thing changing its own oil, problem is it don't replace the oil it leaks out by itself LOL.

Sure glad to here you are doing a lot better now. Having a good job makes a huge difference, and I don't blame you for staying there, you have a good job now, don't move and risk being back in the same boat you were in a month or so ago.

i am going with newer 302 cause a guy is selling one out of a boss mustang for 2200 with only 20k miles and i want it and haha yea i know how that is my expo likes doing that to, all my friends say it needs to stop drinking cause it never stops pissin lol

Wow, the new boss 302! You the boss, boss! Have you done any measuring to see if it'll fit? I'd love to see the swap and hope it works out for you.

Hope the plans work out for you. I'll agree with these guys if you got a steady job you like, keep it if you can. Much better to stay where you are and enjoy the job you have, than to move for the money only to end up with an unstable job that you hate. I kinda have the opposite problem, a stable job that pays well, but I hate it. All the jobs that I think I would like more pay less and aren't near as stable. With the house payment and car payment I can't afford to make less.

I'll also warn not to bite off too much. A roof over your head is more important than 3 vehicles, or a 302 boss swap, with no place to park them. I've had a few friends make the jump into home ownership and try to keep playing like they lived with mom and dad, they found out the hard way that priorities need to change a little. I was fortunate enough to figure it out real quick and put the toys on the back burner until I got settled into things. Then I totaled that toy, but that's beside the point. Now I'm back playing with the toys as time and finances allow, while they are back living with their parents or in-laws. Not saying don't get the 302, just know that it can be stored until you get other priorities in order.

EDIT: Sorry if I'm preaching to the choir, don't know your experiences in life. You may have already been through this before, I don't know. I do know that if I could have warned those friends I would have done it, so I'm trying to do the same for you.

That's going to really be interesting, keep us updated as you do the install.

I'm in the boat of having a descent job now, not making a ton of money, but at least starting to slowly climb up out of the hole I've been in for the past 4 years. I was stupid and didn't save anything when I had a great job, so now I'm paying dearly for it. I had toys and thanks to a finance company who were assholes lost them because they wouldn't move the due date for the loan 2 days so that my check would be deposited. They kept charging me $40 every month because the payment was 2 days late because of job change I wasn't getting paid on the 1st anymore I was getting paid on the 3rd or 4th.

Anyhow, back on topic, I'd take a steady good paying job and stay where I am at over moving and then being in an unstable position not knowing about a job, a place to live type situation. I'd rather be safe and maybe have a bit lower pay, than not have anything at all.

josht. yea i learned that lesson already and it will be a long build not no 2-3 month build and looking for a place with a garage so i can work during winter to i would rather have a roof over my head rather than a hole in my wallet, also the boss 302 will fit cause i am gonna make it work haha and bill yea i really wanna have all the toys i want but house and court fines come first. oh oh oh and foooooodddddd, i love food lol

I'm trying to dig out of the hole I stupidly put myself into. I tried to help everyone else out and in the end just dug myself into debt and those people I helped sure as hell didn't help me when I needed it. Once I'm out of this hole I plan on saving up to buy a small house in town, do some repairs and updates then sell it, and slowly work up to a house out of town that I could call mine. I'm 31 years old, I have absolutely nothing, I could have easily had a house, toys, etc. when I was still working full time in the military but I was stupid and didn't save a penny. Now I kick myself everyday for being so stupid.

Good luck with your build. Should be interesting.
