So I have the 6" BDS kit in my truck. After reading here I ordered the Skyjacker 6" pitman arm for my truck. After waiting for about 6 weeks it finally showed up. What a difference between the two! Steers so much better now - every lifted truck needs this pitman arm:icon_thumby:

im sure we would all have one if it werent for the price

yes, they definetely hurt the bank account... 195 vs 80

I see that being the most expensive part that I will need to buy when I do my SAS.

It sure is a nice piece, but i dont see the reasoning behind the sky high price, i really dont think it cost them much more if any to make the larger pitman arm, i could justify a 20$ difference, but it is up there for a pitman arms, about 120$ more then a normal drop arm, lol. i guess that goes with the saying tho, pay to play.

You might not need one, it all depends on where and how you mount your trackbar. You most likely will only have to switch to a stock 4x4 arm. Part of the beauty of a SAS is you can set it up to fit your needs.

Well, you DO want to try to keep the draglink and trackbar at least somewhat close to horizontal if you can... But I would agree that raising the link at the axle end is preferable to lowering it at the pitman arm end.

And yes, the price is absurd on that arm, but it still beats wasting a set of tires every 5000 miles.

I actually went to a flat F150 arm for my sas to get rid of the little bump steer I had.....It all depends on your situation.

My 4" TTB lift was downright scary for the 2 months I drove it before my drop pitman arm showed up.
