i just replaced the pitman arm seal on my 1992 ranger and it is still leaking and i was wondering if i did something wrong, or if there was something i forgot to do?

Do you mean the sector shaft seal on your steering box? The pitman arm happens to attach to the sector shaft. Often what happens is the sector shaft pits and gets a groove in it that renders it unable to effectively seal at all. Did the sealing surface look completely smooth when you replaced it?

Thats what ended up happening to mine... ended up being easier to just replace the hole steering box with one from a Upull yard...

Seal kits were 30$ and tried it twice, then ended up getting a 58$ steering box lol...

Sometimes its just not worth it to rebuild them
