My 6” Class II Skyjacker lift is in it way:yahoo:and I am going to need to get a Pitman Arm Puller and there is more than one size…. So what size do I get?

This is the kind I use all the time at work. Haven't found anything it doesn't fit yet.

That won't fit a Skyjacker arm, they're much bigger around the base than stock arms.

Being the SJ arm is so much bigger though, you might be able to get a gear puller or something similar on it.

I figured so, I was just commenting about Sasquatch not finding anything his wouldn't fit. :icon_thumby:

i broke 2 autozone ones. i used heat and everything. the trick it to tighten it, hit the bottom of it(the bolt) tighten it and and repeat. mine for some reason ime was really on there. just a helpful hint for when you get ready to remove it

I can't say i've removed a skyjacker drop arm at work yet Junkie :icon_twisted:

I haven't found a stock arm it won't remove yet :icon_thumby:

Also the tighten and smack the end with a hammer method works very well.

Yeah, be prepared to get out the gear pullers or to improvise something if something with a SJ arm on it comes in lol.

And definitely ×2 on beating it with a hammer while it's under tension.

THX 4x4junkie i am just going to get a puller.
and check out my new cardomain page you will see my truck as it sits now and you will see where i get my name from.

I broke two pullers trying to get mine off, I even used heat and tapping the arm while it was under tension. I could have pulled the steering box off and used the 3 jaw puller, but I didnt need to save the stock arm. I ended up using an angle grinder w/ a cutting wheel to cut the arm and split it off the box. I didnt like the idea off hitting the arm too hard since the steering box would take the shock, and I didnt want to heat it to much and risk damaging the oil seal. This is the first ranger I have had with a nice clean and dry steering box.:D
