After much thought and planning I have decided to change my plans for my 2.3T project. I thought about dinking around and limiting my boost to around 5 psi, but I thought "I'm only doing this once". I a now on the hunt for some good quality pistons. The only ones I've seen so far on Ebay are like $799 for a kit (holy crap!). Is there a decent source for the OE quality replacements other than F.O.R.D. (fork over rest of dough)?

summit racing has weisco forged pistons for the 2.3 in all different specs and sizes for about 300-400 new

Esslinger looks pretty reasonable. $599 looks pretty good for a complete kit. Which rods do I hve in my 94 Ranger 2.3? 5.2 or 5.7? I'm going todo a rebuild on it this winter. I think I may have to store the 85 offsite this year while I use the shop to get the 94 prepped.

i found some Speed Pro forged pistons from Summit for $53 apiece! That's not too bad at all!
