This summer I'm finally upgrading the head unit in my truck and i have my neighbor is offering me this head unit and some momo component speakers for basically free. I'm mainly curious of how hard it will be to install the head unit and if I would need an external amp for the speakers? The speakers would only be going in the front doors and I would put some pioneer 4-ways in the back.

Also the reason I'm getting these for free is a slight problem with the navigation on the head unit. It shows the vehicle about 20 feet to the left or right of the road, can this be corrected?

Thanks in advance

Well all I can say is stick with 2 way speakers instead of the 4 ways. The HU might be harder to install then a single din vs the double din your nav player is. and generally an amp makes it a better but I haven't had an amp hooked to my speakers yet and they do just fine.

its not hard. there might be a lil trimming to speak of. but if you can do a single din. you can do a double din. there kinda cut and dry.

i wouldnt worry about an amp unless you start adding bass.

x2 on the 4ways

and there should be way to calibrate the system in the settings some were.

Ok, so pretty straight-forward. This will be my first time doing a double -din unit in a car lol

Now to just find a day so i can take my time and do it right the first time :icon_hornsup:

Metra Electronics 99-5805 Dash Kit designed to mount double din in 95+ ranger should make the head unit install a snap
