Pinion gear bearing removal?

Hey guys, I'm setting up the 5.13's in the sploder 8.8, and made the mistake of not sanding out the old bearing for testing pinion depth............ Yeah, I'm an ass...

So I have the new bearing on the new pinion, and need to give it a few thousandths more shim, but don't know how to remove the damn thing. Ha ha. I have an array of bearing/hub pullers, but none of them work. What's the best tool or way for pulling pinion bearings with out damaging them?

Any input will help. Thanks a bunch fellas!

bearing splitter and a press, youre going to have a hard time not damaging the bearing, be carefull.

Ha ha, damn it, that's what I thought. Thanks guys. Looks like I'll have to pay a machine shop to do it. I'm sure it's worth just buying a new bearing to be on the safe side.

I didn't, but it's something that I should have addressed before hand. Or bought an extra for depth indication.

Would something like this be the answer?

Thanks Nathan. What tonnage would you recommend? I might just buy one. I haven't taken anything to a shop on this project yet, and I really don't want to.

It might, but I couldn't get my bearings off with just the separator when I did my gears(Dana 60 and Dana 44). All I did was bend the rods. Those bearings are on there tight.

You might consider just buying a cheap press. A press is an invaluable tool, cause when you need a press nothing works like a press.

Damn you, posting when I'm typing and shit.

12 ton should be plenty for automotive needs(thats what I have), but if you're wanting to turn it into a press brake too(Link) you might want to consider a 20 ton.
