i noticed recently that my truck seems to be pinging/knocking, right around 3000rpm, all gears, under moderate to heavy throttle (haven't really tried wide open though) starts a little below, and go's a little over 3000

truck has about 97000km on it, this actually turned up the day that i had my codes erased last (p2272, o2 sensor stuck lean, bank 2 sensor 2) but it turned up AFTER the codes were erased... i have a new o2 sensor on it's way to replace it... it's not super loud, and might just be an exhaust leak, but i doubt it to be honest with you...

any thoughts?

bump... anyone?

Sounds to me like your O2 sensor was doing it's job, reporting the lean condition. I doubt its bad.

A pinging can be from shitty fuel, high compression or a lean condition. Considering your truck is pinging and the O2 sensor reported it was lean, I would blame a vacuum leak or some other source of un metered air entering the engine.

hmmm, even though the code is "o2 STUCK lean"?
