pilot bearing

99 ranger 2.5L 5 speed mdr1 tranny... what the hell am i doing wrong that i cant get the damn pilot bearing to go in... it's like 1/32 to big and i cant find anyone that carries a smaller one. i tried to drive the first one in and that was a bad idea, it made a lip on the edge i was driving from and the splines on the input shaft caught on it causeing my f*cking clutch to not disengage.
Please help im goin crazy without my truck.
 
did you check that the old bearing case was not in the pilot bearing hole still? Or something else, perhaps?
 
is it a aftermarket clutch kit or ford oem i just did an oem clutch kit when i swaped to the 2.5 and it when in no prob
