Picture Request: Oil Filter Relocation

I'm almost done getting all the parts for my 302 swap into my '84 BII and I just found out that I need to relocate the oil filter. Anyone have any pictures of this done?

I dont have any pictures of mine, but i mounted it right to the frame rail near the front. I made sure i kept it up high enough so that nothing will hit it.

You can kind of see mine in the video. Its the two black hoses on the driver side of the engine. If its not enough let me know I will try to get some better shots....

I am just looking at the last picture I posted now thinking "this could have been done better"

I just used the supplied pipe-to-barb fittings from AdvancedAdaptors. I think I should have gone and gotten a short pipe-to-barb 90deg elbow (for the rear line on the filter braket) and then got a male-to-female pipe/pipe nipple and put a second 90deg elbow ontop of it. Install them in the order I mentioned them, then they dont have to loop up near the bottom of the battery like that. Tighter & cleaner. Next time I have the Rad out I might just do that.

I just wondered because one pic had no belt on. I thought you maybe put the belt on and forgot about it.

IMO I think these lines should be a constant slope if that works out. (eg. all the oil in the lines could drain out when you take the filter off.) This ensures no bubbles or any possibly hickups in oil flow. That was not an option for me because my bronco and I often fight trees. This filter needs protected. I plan on building it's own dedicated shield.

there is also a mini filter u can use VS the relocation adapter, i got the perma cool adapter, but im going to try the mini v8 filter first,

don't have any pics of the filter location on the firewall, but I hope that will help somewhat. It's kind of an early pic, and no, the lines don't go through there, they're just hanging there.

mine was like $30 on jegs plus the cost off hoses at Tractor supply, murdocts, etc.(they sell hydrolic lines)
