Picture diary of a 4X4 RCD to Dixon Brothers LT Conversion

My fenders are 6" bulge (6" wider than stock per side) from Fiberwerx.

You are SOOO my hero, that's exactly what I was wanting to do with my 02 but ran into some family issues that drained my funds. Well that and I kind of like my Ranger the way I did it. However, I'm thinking I need a trail runner and a prerunner LOL, soooooo never say never.

probably a stupid question but how much wider does your front fenders extend over stock? and where do you get them from?

If I'm not mistaken, doesn't the DBR LT widen the front foot print? I would think that you would want to widen the fenders by some degree.

HERE is a great write up on an 02 Ranger 4x4 using the DBR LT front and back.

DBR widens the front by 4.5" per side. 6" bulge glass fits the kit well because the tires are also wider than stock.

I love my truck, but stay away from building a prerunner unless you are willing to commit a ton of money. This project has already cost a ton and I still have a ways to go until I can consider it done.

Quasi242- you must be joking, prerunners are never done!

Playing with a fork lift to get a better idea of how the rear suspension will work with the proper shocks.

Holy CRAP! That's some crazy droop right there. I want a set of those leafs now!

I picked these up today. 2.5" X 16" triple bypass shocks. Initial valving: 12 compression, 12 rebound, all three free bleed ports open. I am going to hold off on hydraulic bump stops until after we have the front and rear dialed in. Since the final stage in a bypass shock is essentially a bump stop, I may not need to add them.

Now I need to find time to get a cage built!

Hey man where did you get those rear hangers and shackles?
