Found this, thought I would share:

5.0, T5, tri-Y headers. The GT40 heads are painted silver, you can see them above the trans. Tons of room! The trans crossmamber is a suicidedoors.com piece, simply slid forward about 2".

This was taken the day I had my exhaust redone. What you're looking at is the stock exhaust, cut and spliced together. I was too excited to snap pics on the lift of the new exhaust, but just for reference, here's the 2.5" exhaust straight back to dual Flowmaster 40s. That's a 4" one piece driveshaft from a 2008 Ranger on there, stock length.

I don't have a decent camera, so no clips. But it sounds like any other 5.0 Mustang ;)

Thats what I'm after as well haha. Just trying to decide If I want to use the 2borla stainless muffles that came off of a buddies 4.6cobra or if flowmasters are what I'm after. Any reason you didn't run a narrow X or H?

My exhaust guy recommended it.
I may put an "H" in there in the future, just to see what happens.

I also have some high-flow cats that I may put in. My exhaust guy talked me out of it at the time- he said, "do you want it to sound like a built 5.0, or a stock Mustang?"

But I'm tired of smelling like a dirt bike.

Also debating Mustang style tail pipes, or Lightning style tips. We'll see.

It's loud though, I'll miss that if I start messing with it!

exhaust looks good teddy

Looks good.:icon_thumby: While we're on the subject, has anny one used a single 2 in 2 out muffler? I was looking at the dynomax x and wondered if it was anny good not to mention the cost savings using one muffler instead of two.
Teddy, are you still going to do a build thread? I saw a while back you were talking about it. Would love to see the entire build, you have a sharp truck.:headbang:

I'll do it one of these days... Time just seems to be at a premium!

I bought a 2.5" two-in, two-out Flowmaster 40 for my bro to put in his 5.0 RX7, but it hasn't been done yet.

There is a guy on www.v8-ranger.com that has it, sounds great. He's on the other forums too, possibly, but I'll look for a link.

Thanks for the link, thats cool! I'm just trying to get ideas for mine. The 86 is in the weeds for the winter. The wife wants to park her car in the garage this winter, wonder why:dunno: So i'm in the process of building the engine this winter and i'll install it next spring.

Exhaust looks great Ted! Exactly what I want to do with mine but with Lightning style exit...

Damn I am so glad that I live in Arizona as I could not wait that long to install an engine that I just built. Here we can work on our projects all year long. :yahoo:

Shure, rubb it in:icon_rofl: Actualy it may be a blessing, as I was just gunna hurry and freshen up an F150 roller motor. But now that I have lots of time it's turning into more of a build. I have time to shop around and come up with parts and Ideas for a little more power than the ol 150 motor had.:icon_thumby:
