Persistent CEL

Hey guys,

I've got a persistent CEL that I can't figure out. Scanner says it's running rich, which is confirmed by my drop from 20+ mpg highway to 15 ish highway... WHEN the light come on and stays on, the 02 reads like .94 volts.

I unplug the battery to reset the comp. And the light goes away for 1,000 to 1,200 miles, come back on, I reset, and so on. After the reset the 02 fluctuates normally. I've cleaned the MAF and IAT, neither seem to remedy.

Any ideas?

Oh yeah, and from what I can tell fuel regulator is good based on no fuel being present in the vac. Line.

Solved

.... ok, so I think I've closed this issue. About 2 weeks ago my alternator died. Replaced it.

Haven't had a CEL or a problem running rich since. Weird, but from what I can tell, that solved the problem.
