i was reading through the tech section, and came across a mod for 98-00' rangers that permanatly engages the vaccum hubs. has anyone tried this? annd are there any pros/cons?

My understanding is the less often you use them, the sooner they go out, so i make it a point about once a month or more to use all modes (2HI, 4HI, 4LO) and I've been doing fine. One hub was bad when I got the truck, but it hasn't given me issues in the 7 odd years since.
