Performance Upgrades 4.0 OHV/SOHC

Ive been thinking about doing some upgrades on the engine of my truck, and have found a couple nice sites that carry things for multiple years. I think it would be a good idea to put together a thread for performance upgrades. I sure know we have a few people on here running chargers and such, but im looking for N/A setups. I dont really fell like running a charger ATM anyways lol.

Ive seen his site mentioned for a while on the site, but it looks like the last time he got any interest was back in 2010. i know hes been around for a while, and am wondering if anybody has been running any of his parts.

i am told the factory rockers or "followers" are roller style, so my question is, would it be possible to put cams in, without any other mods to the engine?

Yeah they are good cams but have you ever tried to install one???Comp doesnt make any supporting parts to install it except for the double springs.No one makes retainers to use with them and push rods have to be custom made and are not cheap.

i just installed one on my brothers truck. you can use stock parts with it. no custom push rods are needed. we were on the phone with the guys from comp cams constantly double checking things. unless the roller lifters are pitted or chipped or cracked you can reuse them. and you can get new rods and rockers for cheap.

its really a pretty simple job if you have any mechanical abilities.
