ok i am thinking about purchasing a programmer and was shopping around and saw a this module [URL="http://www.trsfabandoffroad.com/products/jetperformance.htm

qhere do these plug in at and are they better than a regular programmer

I have no clue! At first it looked like it plugged into the OBDII port, but now not so sure. I had a chip in my ranger at first, and it didn't look that this one either, plus 30 min to install? My chip went bad and I ended up with a programmer anyway, so cheaper just to buy the damn programmer first. Programmer might be higher, but lots better on a bunch of different levels.
