i have a 1994 4.0 ranger and i'm looking into getting a chip module or something of that nature. i saw on the james duff web site that they offer a chip that boosted a 94 4.0 with 45ftlb of torque (according to their claims). i've also seen the jet performance module just browsing the web. can anyone give me any useful feedback? thanks

Not sure if your 94 is OBDI or OBDII. If it is the latter, I would purchase a programmer instead of a chip. I've had both, and had problems with the chip. It wouldn't make good contact with the PCM and gave all kinds of goofy troubles. Whatever you do, don't purchase one off of e-bay for $25. They are BS. A chip should cost at least $250 or more and a programmer starts at about $350

I've had both too and the chip burned up my PCM. Once I replaced my PCM I put in a programmer and have not had any problems since and I work in a dealership and have had to replace alot of PCM's due to chips

i took my jet chip off because i did not notice any increase of hp or torque, and it killed my fuel econ. it made it horrible
