Has anyone added a performance chip to their 2.3 and if so, what has been your experience please?

on a stock application i can not justify it. especially with a canned tune...a modern ranger otoh....absolutely.
now... with exhaust mods and intake work...like full port and polish ect... you would certainly need to tune it, but you want to do that on a dyno through your complete system. and if you can schedule it...plan on 8 to 900 bux minimum.
the way that plastic intake is setup on them .... they are pretty well done right N/A and hard to get cost effective gains out of them with just tuning.
these engines do take well to turbo charging.
like the cyclones, they are very under appreciated.
going turbo though.....tuning is getting better for canned tunes as there is alot of data around now..but its not the best idea. best to put it on rollers and invest in hp tuners.... or maybe a ms3 if your not emmissions tested...
there is too much variation from air filter to exhaust tip through god knows how beat up the catalytic converter is to remotely tune.
that said....in the focus application i have seen 2 tenths ..... which is ALOT.....knocked off with a high octane tune....
for rangers i have not seen anything.....unless it was fan deleted.
