can someone please tell me how my pcv system on my 86 2.9 is supposed to be hooked up? i've looked and looked but can't find anything that tells me the way the vacuum lines are meant to be routed?
There should be a vacuum diagram on the radiator support close to the hood latch. The PCV goes into the valve cover grommet on the passenger side to the nipple on the throttle body base or intake manifold/plenum.
ok how about the breather filter? i've seen pics with the pcv on passenger side and seen other ones with it on the driver side which has led to a lot of my confusion
The PCV pulls a vacuum from the intake and the breather hose does that it just vents into the air filter side of the throttle body and has a fibre filter to absorb the oil and drain back into the valve cover.
so pcv goes to intake vacuum and breather filter to port on the throttle chamber, right? i'm sorry if i'm asking stupid questions i've just not been able to find a lot of the answers for my questions. someone swapped engines in this bronco before i got it and it's been difficult to say the least to put everything back the way it's supposed to be. like the hose coming out of the bottom of the air filter box, where does that go? and what goes to the small port on the bottom of the throttle chamber?
ok thanks adsm08 for the straight to the point answer. that solved that question. if you guys only knew some of the things that were done to this bronco. took me a while to get it driveable. now i'm just trying to work out all the bugs.
