im in the process of trying to drop my 2.9 into an 85 frame an quickly realized the passenger side mount is completely different ive been searching around and only thing i can find is drill new holes which understand just wanted to see if there was anyone out there that has had this same issue and could lead me in the right direction as to drilling these holes am i just drilling a new hole for the centering pin or completely relocating the mount thanks in advance really appreciate any feed back

Found this:

"Replacing the 2.8, you will need to drill new holes for the passenger's side motor mount. I don't remember the exacts of it, but you should eyeball it so it sits level and even with the driver's side one. If you are a little off it won't matter because the mounts are flexible. Drill the necessary holes using your preferred method of locating it, and install it. You should have a bare underhood compartment when you this. Drop the motor in, and bolt it down to the motor mounts."

Sorry that's all I found, but "level and even" pretty much says it all

thanks man but i was still hoping for a little more info as to where on the the crossmember it should sit because i dont want to be drilling a million holes just guessing ya know i know i can figured it out alone but its always helpful to have someones input that has done it before but i appreciate the reply

Time to bust out a framing square and a level. Good luck.
