passenger door makes a hollow or tin sound when you shut it .

hi everyone, just bought a new 2020 ranger 4 door, anyway we like the truck but when you shut the door on the passenger door it makes like a hollow tin noise, the other doors do not make this noise, anybody else had this problem ? thanks .

being that new of a truck... that is an excellent question for the dealer. I would go and look at other 2020 RAngers on their lot and see if they have that sound, if not, ask that they fix yours, or fix all of the other Rangers on the lot.

Take his ^^^ advice. Sounds like a sound deadening mat was left out. Make them fix it.

Amen on advice. I’m not sure 2020 still has the plastic bushing on the lock pin in the door frame. If that’s broken or missing, it makes the door sound tinny. Usually they wear out with age, but if you slam the door on the seatbelt buckled in just the right place, you can shatter them.

Usually replacement doors make that noise but being a new truck it shouldn’t

hi everyone, well they took the door panel off and the insulation did not get put in the door . anyway thanks for all your help .
