I have a 90 ford ranger with a 2.9 and it came to me with a 93 model tranmission and it eats the teeth off bendix drives.I have been told to change off to the 4.0 clutch and flywheel and starter and the problem will go away. please help

if youre running everything as a matched set, then you shouldn't have an issue, that being said, if you run the 4.0 flywheel it will give you a bit more rotational mass, which might help with driveability
