Hello

I have a 95 Ranger XLT 4x4 4.0L with Auto Hubs....And surprise surprise the auto hubs don't engage.

I have a set of Explorer manual hubs (Outer piece only).

My question is what parts do I need for the inner hub etc?

I have looked around and have found kits for Warn and Milemarker but I don't know if those will work with ford manual hubs?

Thanks again

Craig.

if you wanted to save money on the nuts you could go to a junkyard and get the outter nut, locking spacer and inner nut from both sides. These parts dont wear so you wont have to worry about getting them from a yard because they wont be worn out.

also for the locknut kits if you call your local or nearby 4wheelparts store they have them for 8 bucks a set i got 2 sets shipped to my house for 22 dollars. The part number you need for that is listed above in this section in a sticky section about the kits costing too much!

Hello

Thanks for the info. I'll probably just get the new set.

One question I have is the socket listed earlier is it the same socket used for a ford ½ ton? My father said he has one for a ½ ton and a 3/4 ton.

Thanks
Craig

i am not sure what axle does it have up front. My dads 89 bronco had a Dana 44 and his socket fit on my D35 ranger. I think anything larger than that has a different socket. you can get them at most auto parts stores for like 8-10 bucks.

Yes, D35, D44, same socket (½ ton).

autozone, and advance auto parts sell the conversion and hub kits for cheap and they take about 5 minutes a side to du

Thanks guys

I actually got everything done and it works well now. I got the locknut parts from the dealership for $17/side so its all good now.

Thanks again for all the help
