Parking it!

So, I got the first crash in Simi Valley of 2009 and started working on the truck to get it back on the road. In the mean time I was getting rides from my mother to the train station and it seemed like no big deal.

Finally the truck was working but I didn't want to take it out with the ripped off fender. So, I was letting my mother drive me to the train station and then, last month, some guy runs a red light and my mother smashes into the side of him totaling our other car. No one is hurt. I put the Ranger into use. The registration is due, the insurance is due...

So, we got a new beetle and it seems to be working fine. I'm just going to park the Ranger. Maybe I can use it in the back yard, although right now, there is a crow with a damaged wing walking around and I don't want to run him over. There was a big fight in the tree and he must have got hurt.

See you in June!

Sounds like you've got too much time into it to walk away from it at this point. :icon_twisted: You will miss driving it. I certainly miss driving mine.

Yeah man, keep at it! I stopped driving mine for about 3 weeks and I missed it so much. Call me crazy but I name my trucks, and my ranger is named "Buddy," so when I get in to it (him) I always talk to it. It really feels good driving it (well, it does to me). I really don't know why I just told you all that but I did, so deal with it. :)

Im with you on that one the tranny went in mine " 5th gear shattered" and it was down for about a month and i missed her so much.... i named my truck as well her name is "Beast" and she has never really let me down i talk to her and sometimes i think she understands me lol

You guys really need to get out more. :icon_rofl:

So, I charged it up and it fired right up. The check oil light was on and I turned it off but the key wouldn't go all the way into the off position so I'm thinking maybe someone tried to steal it and f*cked up the key switch. Now I can't get the key out since it won't go all the way off.

Who would have done this?

Any ideas on how to fix the ignition switch?

Sounds like a J/Y special, take the whole colume or just the ignition switch.
