Getting ready to install some new lights on the front end of my 99 Ranger. Gotten tired of the fogged up headlight look and getting some new crystal/diamond clear ones off eBay. Will be getting new clear park/turn housings at the same time.

My passenger side turn signal housing has been loose for years due to the little plastic retainer clip in the header panel being missing. I don't even know what it's properly called to search for it. Any one got an idea where I can get a replacement for this clip? I'd prefer to avoid the stealership and LMC, both are usually overpriced on this little stuff.

Try your local FastenAll hardware store they should have the metal headlight clips as well as the plastic clip you are talking about. Oreilly's also should carry the metal clips in the dorman Help! section.

I am looking for the same exact plastic retainer clip. Did you ever find a replacement?

That thread is almost 11 years old and the OP hasn't logged in since 2015.

The advice is roughly the same. You may try a junk yard. Or look through the Dorman parts at a local parts store.

OP was last seen online 40 minutes ago. Not sure what you’re talking about

Oops. I didn't look back far enough. I thought it was Caveman Joey. My bad.

True, but it was still 11 years ago. I did find a replacement, but I couldn't even tell you if it was a factory or reproduction part.

It wasn't this, but I think what I used looked a lot like it.

They probably have something similar at.your local auto parts store. I saw a similar looking clip pop up for Advance auto when I just now searched "ranger side marker clip", but Amazon is easier to link to.

If all else fails check out the LMC truck catalog.

Thanks! Sorry for reviving this thread. It can go back to eternal rest now.
