Parabolic springs

Gday guys,
Watching a review on the new Ranger, Andre at TFL spoke of Parabolic leaf springs in the rear. Does anyone know whether parabolic springs will adapt to an older Ranger, Explorer or Bronco II platform. I can't imaging why they wouldn't with the correct mounting points. I understand the carrying and towing capacity of the new Ranger with the parabolic set up is in the 7500lb range. Along with great carrying and towing, the ride quality is impressive not to mention a huge reduction in un-spring weight.

Those springs are designed and setup for a heavier vehicle with a higher load capacity. If you want heavier springs, I would suggest add a leaf to keep your current ride or check out https://www.generalspringkc.com/Leaf_Springs_Ford_Ranger_s/1879.htm or https://thesuspensionking.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=70_88_209_216 if you don't mind that your truck rides like a truck. While springs from other vehicles can be made to work, I would do it.

I have a beefed up set of springs on my truck now. When I hit washboard empty the truck bounces all over the place.
Parabolic springs are known for their smooth manageable ride. I do tow a work trailer so the weight carrying capacity would be welcome.

I didn't know about parabolic leafsprings, thanks for bringing it up.
I did a quick search and on one spring site they mention that they can adjust the load carrying capacity by adding or subtracting springs. Sounds like that might be the way to go if you can adapt them to our older rangers.

The ride on my new Ranger is a bit better than the old one but I attribute that more to the not stiff enough dampened shocks than the springs themselves. There may be some validity in what you say though. I just haven’t had and driven the truck enough to feel everything out.
