A friend of mine has a 93 ranger 4x4 with a 4.0l. When you do a sudden jab on the pedal to slow down you can hear one or more of the wheels locking up. I checked the rear wheel cylinders and both are fine. Anyone have any ideas?

I'd just assume his truck doesn't have ABS and call it a day.

back then ABS was just for the rear wheels, so ur blocking the front ones

I have owned many fords and only one of them has had RABS that actually worked correctly. You have 10" brakes on the back of that truck. Its got more braking power than it needs when empty. Either put some weight in the bed or quit stabbing the brakes. It sounds like everything is working like normal to me. (normal = non-functional RABS)
