Thanks, its far from perfect but better then surface rust. Once base coat is down ill sand it smooth since im doing this outside and paint is contaminated. Might lay down some glossy clear but for now im just having fun. Gonna bondo the drill holes that were left over.That's looking good!

I could but i always have trouble sanding it down, would have to use a low grit and cut into metal. i only want to lightly sand the basecoat so i think bondo should be okayI would use JB Weld instead, since it's got metal in it.
Bet, will update here in a week or few, like i said im half ass painting this, the proper way would be to sand down to the primer and hit it but im just doing a rough sand for the paint to lay on the existing coats, then run a clearcoat to lock it in.I say go with it!
