I was thinking about painting my front bumper and valance they are both textured. I was wondering how well this works and how well it holds up.

i put Rust-Oleum Hammered Paint on mine about a year ago not a mark on it. used it all over grill fender flares rims

I had also thought about just buying a edge bumper and valance any ideas where the best place to pick that up would be

I cleaned the plastic real well and removed and the oil and such from the plastic then used krylon fusion and its held up really well to the years of abuse. perfect? no. best paint for the job? IMO yes. A better option if you had the $$ would be a small can of roll on bedliner such as herculiner, or a spray can of 3m rubber undercoating. both products are very tough and hold up to abuse

imo i would go with the edge bumper, its not textured and will not look half ass. I put an 01 edge bumper on my 98 a few months ago, bought it from lmc. the only thing about putting an edge bumper on is that it is more expensive than the couple cans of spray paint you would use on your stock bumper
