painting rims

i am curious about what rims look good painted gloss black. i have seen stock rims painted flat black and well didnt care for it to much. so if you have pics please post would like to see

I painted my stock rims gloss black with a few coats and some coats of clearcoat. then popped the chrome center caps back on. did that back in 2003 and they are barely just flaking now. just food for thought

I painted my stock steelies on my old ranger flat black... you can't tell the tire from the rim really, But i got the fancy dancy chrome rings and stuff and they look pretty good.

Looks like you got the outlaw style rims. I would try to paint like just the inside of the rims and leave the lip and little rivet type deals silver. it would look good then you can just put clear coating over that to protect them.

I'm restoring a set of 5.5lug 15x8 rims right now thatt'll be on my ranger soon. My dad always refrerred to them as Wagon Wheels....idk maybe off an old wagoner'?? anyways they were white and i roughly spray-paint then gloss black to get a idea..and i like em.

Hah, they are called white wagon spoke wheels in our shop computer. we also have chrome wagon spokes too. I think that is just what the company called them.
