Got this done Saturday.
Only issues are I didn't get the temp gauge needle back on right so its a little off and the speedo reads 10mph too fast.
I couldn't figure out how to set the needle so I just put it against the peg at idle and called it good.

Let me know what you guys think

How did you paint it? What did you use? Give us more details.

Also, when i did my bulbs, I put the speedo needle on under the peg the gently lifted it over the peg while installed. Tried a couple times while testing with my Garmin GPS and a drive around the block (if you can do this part with a helper it would be much easier).

Well I did the A/C controls first but they didnt turn out nearly as good so I've gotta do them again.

I started with some sandpaper on the A/C controls from a write up I saw on RPS and then my buddy suggested using my knife to scrape the color off, that turned out to work a lot easier.

I got out some razor blades for the gauges and it was basically like a lottery scratcher ticket. I went slow and just scraped off the parts I wanted to be blue and stopped every now and then to hold it to a light to see if I missed anything. I got some stained glass spray paint from a hobby store and after it was all scraped off I tried to paint it.

The paint didnt lay out like I wanted so I took some 220 grit sandpaper and scuffed up everything and then resprayed it until it was as dark as I wanted. Then after the paint dried I put it all back together.

Could you post a day photo for comparison? Thinking about doing this to my '05

Looks good, I remember there's a How to for correcting the speedo on the tech library, it was posted by fx4wannabe. U need to take it out and u just need a AA battery for it.
