anyone have paint color chart for 1986 ford ranger ? color code on the data plate is R140 or 146 cant tell for sure. Thanks

Look at the number/letter under TYPE

Viking Red or Med Canyon Red Met. It is hard for me to read.

if that doesnt work you can go to google and type in autocolorlibrary, choose the year and make, there it will show you chips from old color books

The color code on that plate is 28. It is actually the number above where it says paint color. In Fords of that vintage color codes starting with 2 are red, 3 blues, 9 whites, 1 black, etc.

Upon closer inspection it's 2B which is Viking Red.
