Was pulling a relativley heavy load thru planted pines when transmission went out. Still have reverse, 2nd and 3rd, no overdrive, od light not blinking and must shift 2-3, 3-2 manually. was pulling load in 4lo. Truck is a 99 ranger 3.0 with what I'm assuming is a 4r44e transmission.Wouldn't all these codes at one time indicate an electrical problem or could all these codes pop up at once like that due to a mechanical issue. Transmission worked fine up until this point.

I'm no auto trans. expert but I looked up your codes and they're all solenoid circuit failures and our trans. guy agrees that it's probably not a mechanical failure. 1747 is the main pressure control solenoid, 0743 is the torque converter solenoid, 0750 is shift solenoid A, 0760 is shift solenoid C. Sorry I can't be more help but hopefully this will at least point you in the right direction.

Just a little update. I looked up the wiring diagram and all of the solenoids share the same power circuit and go through fuse 13 in the engine compartment fuse panel. You may want to start there.

Thank you, checked all the fuses that had shift control or transmission control written by it in the owners manual, never would have thought to check that one. It was blown, replaced it and now everything is back to normal. It baffles hell out of me how car makers can build something that so many things are THAT dependant on one $.50 fuse. Thanks again !!!

Yup. I saw one once, doing something a lot like yours. Turned out the lady's kid was playing with the power mirrors and popped the fuse.

I have the same exact problem! My fuse isnt blown though.. I checked each solenoids resistance and they're all in spec. Does anyone have a connector pin out for the trans connector? Any suggestions would be great
