So, I had a code P0401. I suspected the EGR valve and so I pulled it and cleaned it. The seal was good since I could hold the valve open with a vacuum. I re installed it and cleared my P0401 code. This was yesterday. Today, my cel comes back on and now I have a P1401 auxillary emissions something. I don't buy the DPFE as the problem since I replaced a couple of years ago with a new plastic one. Maybe it's still toast?!?! I don't know.

I'm lost, what do I do?

Thanks,
Matt

it most likely is the sensor, ive been through two already this year. but if youre that convinced try checking the vaccum hoses to and from the sensor, ive had mine come off before.

Could still be the DPFE or its hoses.

I only got 11 months out of my last one (plastic).

I attribute its short lifespan to my short trips (4 miles, 4X every day) letting condensation collect on the DPFE diaphragm.
