So i have a 87 ranger stock 2.9 v6. My ? is on my pvc valve there is two nipple coming off of it and i only have one vacum line hooked up to it the other one is suppose to be blocked off right??? The reason i ask is i had it blocked off with a golf tee.... Ya i know red neck but went to this new smog guy i havent went threw and he fail me on a visual!!! So i went and got a rubber cap/cover and it looks right but there are some cap offs on the other side of my intake that i didnt know if i was suppose to pump in there.... Any help is good help thanks alot!!!!!!

Yeah you just block it off or you can break off the two ports and put the hose directly over top of it.

Did you pass the sniffer and he failed you for the golf tee. I have never went through emissions where the tester wasnt a prick. Oh except the time is was a girl and she was the C word. Hopefully you get a free retest. All you need is what is on the vacuum diagram on the sticker under the hood If that other fitting your talking about dont leak vacuum leave it alone.

Last time I got one I went to the local parts store to get a better quality valve....it came with a little plastic plug for the unused port.

Ok boys past every thing but the prick failed me on seeing that golf tee haha... what can i say i learned from my old man and im old school and with out the tee is was sucking but any ways i went down to the local auto parts and looked it up and i had the right valve, I was thing i might have had the wrong one!!! so i just bought a rubber vaccum plug and put that in there to make it look better so i hope that works!!!
