putting on new tires tomorrow. owl or blackwall out? im leaning toward bw. opinions?

I would vote BW. IMO it looks cleaner. Let the tire manufacturers do their advertising on TV and in magazines, not on your pickup.:D

OWL all the way. Its nice to have something to break up all the black

id take RWL over OWL, but definitely OWL over BW. they just look so much better, less plain.

I say OWL, but if you take the truck off road a lot owl it could get scuff & not look that good.

It depends on the truck.

My Ranger looked as dorky with BL as my F-150 would look with WOL.

Sooo I run WOL on my Ranger and BW on the F-150. :icon_thumby:

Same goes for solid white letters, they look really sharp in the right place too but can look gaudy if not used right (to me anyway)

BW is cleaner. White letters are for 80's Camaros. I was mad when My Toyo's got mounted white letters out.

I sell tires, and 90% of the tires I sell on 4x4 trucks are OWL. The OWL looks great imo, if you keep them clean. If you're one of the ones that washes your truck once a decade, go with BW out

I prefer the White walls out... but only on certain vehicles... Like My rangers I think look really good this them.
It also depends on personal preference, what kinda tire they are (as in brand name tire), Rims they are on, and if your going to clean them...

Like I mount my Mickeys OWL and they look good with the black steel d holes.

I like mine out so people can see the brand I love!!!!!

I Love the lettering from my old liberators, because they broke up the plain blackness of my truck, but my new 31" Milestars are blackwall on both sides:( , and there discoloring...... Cheap Chinese Tires....
