Overland Challenge

If it's capable, sure. This isn't a show, per se. But there is a vendor area. I would recommend that you build one or more and do extensive field testing. The vehicles in this competition are doing some serious wheeling and are self-contained. I would also mention that I'm really sure these vendors are making substantial donations in the form of money to a veterans organization (I'll get the name tomorrow. It's Patriot something) and equipment for raffle prizes. Money from tickets purchased goes to the veteran org. Half of the competitor's entrance fees are also donated to the veteran org. This is a cool event in many ways.

I believe one of my earlier pictures shows a van with trailer with "Overlander Project " on the side. That is associated somehow with BFG. Pretty cool rig. I imagine that might be what you need to be aiming at for this crowd.

Overland Expo West, or the Overland Expo in Colorado. I've been. Anyone that likes any kind of camping or adventure travel should go at least once.
I might need to do one of those.

Somebody is doing ball joints right now while I'm cozy in my sleeping bag checking TRS.

It will have a 2 inch lift and some some trail grapplers on some black rhino wheels. That's if Kings gets there crap together. But not sure really how capable. maybe some light forest roads and creek crossings bit I wouldn't get out and thrash it. It's designed to go off grid for days. Have about 600 amp hours of lithium power 30 amps of solar charging. 270 amp aux alt. With the air conditioner and all LED lighting going I've had it running over a week without starting van and batteries still above 12.5 volts. Testing that now to see how long it lasts before shuts down

More often than not I am setting up camp drunk.

... and the rain continues to come down harder and harder. The blind driver course appears to be very slippery now.
(Insert evil laugh here)

Bummer about the weather.

How goes tire fixin?

The weather just makes it more interesting. If it was any colder it would border on miserable. But I'm not competing. I get to sit under an easy-up awning.

Just figured out there is another Ford here. The BFG Overlander Project van that I pictured yesterday is a Ford van.

Why aren’t you competing?

I thought you were supervising the tire repair station?

Each team must have at least 2 vehicles, 2 drivers and 2 co-drivers, at least one winch for every two vehicles and a bunch of other stuff. So, I need 3 more friends, another vehicle, etc. And the team needs some experience wheeling together. Y'all are my friends and it's hard enough to get us together once a year somewhere. But maybe several of us could develop a plan to do it in the future.

The blind course got ugly.

I'm getting some cool group activity ideas for our trail rides.

How do they expect you to get 4 people together for this? I can’t even get everyone in my house together for the weekend!
