My stepdad took me out the other night to teach my how to drive a stick, after awhile messing around in a parking lot i looked down and the temp gauge was passed 250..im assuming thats pretty hot? i checked the radiator and its filled up. could it be from not having much air pass through the grill? also what is the normal temp for a 2.9 to run at? any help is appreciated.
thanks

The fan should keep air flowing over the rad. 250 is pretty hot for a 2.9. Check the water pump for flow by starting it with the cap off and see if the water level drops a bit.

Thermostat could be stuck closed.
